We were late for check-in, but not only did Erica wait for us, she was cheerful, friendly and took extra time to be certain we understood all of the kitchen/laundry appliances there. She was a great first introduction to La Canonica.

Because our apartment was beneath one with year-round occupants and the stairs and floors above were not carpeted, we had some noise. They certainly weren't discourteous; it was just normal living noise, but it was disconcerting.

Erika was sick, so the owner checked us out; he is delightful.

The staff is extremely helpful with planning tours, shopping information and general history.

Our apartment, Palagetto, epitomized Tuscany. From the living room with its enormous fireplace, the beautifully appointed bedrooms and the landscaping, we truly felt we were living a dream in the Tuscan countryside.

We were very happy with our accommodation and the staff. We would like to make these suggestions:
Written directions for the use of the dishwasher and the washing machine.
Better lighting for reading.

They could mention that there are two nearby vineyards that give wine and olive oil tastings.

Our accommodations we're very nice and right
next door to the one we we're scheduled for.
The people went out of there way to make us
comfortable and feel at home.

I would definitely recommend the La Canonica
di Cortine to all my friends and family.

Once again, kudos, to the people there.

They have all the comforts of home,
including a very helpful staff.
Their location is far enough away to feel
secluded, but, close enough to find things
accessible.
If your going to the Chianti region it's a
must to stay there.

We were welcomed right away and felt right at home. Irene was very friendly and we immediately forgot about our difficulty finding the villa.

We cannot wait to come back one time closer to the summer so that we can use the beautiful pool. We will recommend this villa always. we loved it. The room was very spacious and clean and the breakfast was wonderful.

A very elegant and villa with the right touch of friendliness. It is a place that you will fall in love with right away. You feel at home the moment that you arrive!!

1. We would like an english language TV station like CNN
2. The cooking facilities, i.e. pans, utensils, etc, were marginal.
3. The rooms were dark in the evening. Brighter light bulbs would be nice.
4. The living room furniture wasn't very comfortable.

Facilities were adequate. Centrally located in a very picturesque part of Tuscany, especially in the Fall. Local restaurants were excellent and local shopping was quaint. Self catering worked out well.
