The Camporomano estate, the property of the noble Garzoni family of the nearby city of Lucca since the 17th century, is still inhabited by the family's descendents and is situated in the heart of one of Tuscany's most beautiful regions, the Lucchesía. Just inland from the celebrated seaside resort area known as the Versilia, the Camporomano estate is framed by the Apuane Alps and Lake Massaciuccoli (where the composer Puccini, a native of Lucca, once lived and composed many of his operas). All told, the estate comprises around 70 acres of olive groves and cultivated fields.

The main villa at Camporomano, which is the family's home on the estate, is surrounded by a number of restored villas whose construction is typical of a Tuscan country estate, every one of them up-to-date and equipped with modern conveniences. At Camporomano the guests have the possibility to walk in the nearby pine-wood enjoying the breathtaking scenary, they can also visit the frantoio (the olive press) and the stables eith cows and calves. At the farm you can buy products such as extra virgin olive oil and wine. A washing machine and telephone, fax machine, a tennis table, a large parking are at the guest disposal. |
