Excellant, very welcoming and efficient. ... We found the food in the Restaurant was excellant and a good wine list. However the service was very slow when you arrived but fine once you had ordered. We felt this may be improved if you could reserve a time to eat to allow the staff to cope better, rather than every one turning up at 8.00pm and then having to wait, even for a drink. On one evening we waited 1hr.20mins. before we asked for a drink while we waited for the menu which we eventually received after a further 20 mins. Our room, No.70 was beautiful, the grounds and the pool wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return. ... A beautiful and restful spot in the hills above Firenze.

One thing i am not used to in a ****star- hotel: at breakfast we had to lay the table ourself. And there was the beautiful terrace but no sunshades. And: we had been in Villa Campestri for dinner 8 years ago and the food was excellent. this time we were disappointed about the quality of the meal. this is such a wonderful place, maybe it can upgrade also in this point again. ... A wonderful place, nice rooms, very nice service - but do not eat there.

Fantasic, definately worth staying outside Florence for the experience. The food was sublime and extremely good value. The staff were knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly the whole time, even sorting out Uffizi bookings on our behalf. Very refreshing to have such a good standard with no snobbery!

We were upgraded to the honeymoon suite. It does not get better than that! ... Villa Campestri is a gem... one of the best holiday places I have ever stayed at. ... Not something that needs to be on the website, but something to consider: my partner and I do not eat red meat or pork. Our diet is limited to fish, poultry and vegetarian. On your menu there were not many choices which means you need to eat 'off premises'. This is not a bad thing, but perhaps a more diverse menu would be even better. ... A fantasticly luxurious and private villa on a beautiful spot in the Tuscan mountains.

We enjoyed the stay especially the quietness. We were travelling with our 2 month old son and the whole staff and owners were very nice. One think for improvement: The light in the rooms are not sufficient. Much to dark. We suggest to put in a strong lighted reading lamp so that the guest can switch it on when he wants to. It was even not possible to read or doing e-mails even during the day. ... Additional suggestions for improvement for the future: There is no 'Health and Beauty Section', At least Massage should be available and a steem, sauna. One negative point: The laundry is very expensive. We suggest to the guests to take the laundry to Borgo San Lorenzo on yourself. ... It is the exact place for relaxation, quiet, very good food, friendly staff and owners. With a baby a good place to take walks in fresh air. Close to a lovely town Borgo San Lorenzo, where you can go shopping, coffee drinking, enjoying the Italian way of life. Close to Florence (25 km)!!!!
