Travellers Reviews

The room was very spacious and charming but there was lots of dust and cobwebs everywhere, also some of the appliances provided - hairdryer and toaster for example - did not have an adapter for the mains supply so what was the point in providing them? ... A charming rural retreat, perfect to get away from it all.

Our experience was delightful--an excellent welcome! ... We enjoyed our stay and would recommend Pieve di Caminino to anyone interested in visiting Tuscany--we have already passed along detailed descriptions and information to family and friends.
Please feel free to share my review with Pieve di Caminino. ... We never felt rushed--it was as charming as was our arrival experience--we really hated to leave ... I think the web site was excellent--of course, more photos of grounds and rooms are always nice ... We stayed in a lovely 'abbey-villa' in the heart of Tuscany surrounded by olive groves and hilltop villages. It was a place of peace and tranquility, and one that we will remember always.

we'll definitely return to Pieve di Caminino! and we have been recommending the website to friends. ... Beautiful converted monastery and school. Very warm and inviting staff. The accomodations were even better than expected and very romantic. We'll be back.

Staying at Pieve di Caminino is the best way to truly learn about the Tuscan culture. The surrounding restaurants were excellent and very reasonably priced. ... Pieve di Caminino was the most relaxing, stress free vacation property I have ever visited. The countryside was true Tuscany...very few tourists, very friendly locals, excellent food and wine. This is the perfect place to experience Italy without the hustle bustle of the tourist traps.

Friendly reception; helpful directions, maps and advice to visiting surrounding area. ... The only complaint about the stay is that on two occasions we did not have water. This created a bit of a problem when someone was in the shower already soaped up and when we were packing up to leave. The only other complaint is the partying going on early in the morning a couple of times and not sure it was guests or residents. ... A 9:00 checkout is an unreasonable expectation with a family and having no water. That being said, they did accommodate a later checkout. ... The pool, grounds and views are exceptionally beautiful. The location is also superb for visiting the coast, Sienna, San Giminano and Massa Maritima. The host is very polite and accommodating. ... Would highly recommend.

In details - mentioned a welcome pack but nothing there, when we arrived late - buying food and getting a meal difficult although they did ring a restaurant and book for us ... System with washing machines v difficult and kitchen v small but we did expect the latter Lovely buildings and atmosphere with nice family and lovely shared pool Their details in the house need to be updated ... Relaxed - no problems ... More details about the pool - unclear on web and a lovely pool with a lovely view - a selling point ... Quiet, welcoming, lovely views, beautiful buildings and well positioned for discovering history and beaches

A swimmingpool was built this year (it opened on the 1st of July) ... Pieve di Caminino is situated in a beautiful landscape. Especially the panoramic view from the pool is overwhelming. The apartments are clean and comfortable but the kitchen's equipment is quite poor.
