It was very difficult to find the office and the signs were not clear.
We arrived earlier than the check-in time and were taken to the apartment, which was a positive for us not having to wait after a long drive to check in.

In comparison to the prior villa that we stayed in, we found Villa Calcinaia less inviting. There were cobwebs around the rooms, the door to one bedroom didn't open completely and there was no WORKING coffee pot.They fixed the door but never gave us a working coffee pot the whole week.
Typical supplies like paper towel, garbage bags, etc. were not supplied.And we had to ask for an additional roll of toliet paper.
Also, we were not told or given directions on how to use the appliances which were quite a challenge.

Check out was efficient. We didn't understand the purpose of leaving the deposit. They never checked the apartment for damages at our arrival or departure.

The roads on the property are very rocky getting to the apartment.

It was an adequate accomodation and in a good location to travel to Florence and Siena.
