Directions from A1 motorway from Florence
A1 Highway runs between Rome and Milan through Florence.
In Florence, take exit "Firenze Scandicci". Once you have left the highway, take the toll-free road "Pisa-Livorno (FI-PI-LI)" in the direction of Pisa. Drive for approximately 12.7 Km and exit at "GINESTRA FIORENTINA".
Upon leaving the motorway, follow direction for "MONTESPERTOLI". You are now following the Montespertoli signs. After 5.8 km you will find a village called Baccaiano; at the T-intersection, take a right direction Montespertoli (SP4).
Montespertoli is on the top of the hill. DON'T turn left into the town but stay on the new road swinging around to the right of town past some new apartments. At the roundabout TURN RIGHT to Castelfiorentino (SP4). After less than 1 Km, TURN LEFT direction Lungagnana (SP125/Via Lugagnana) and Certaldo.
After 4.7 Km TURN RIGHT direction Renai (Via Pian di Pesciola). You will see a small arrow indicating CABBIAVOLI on the left. Turn left in Via del Vallone. Follow the dirt track for 2.5 km, on that road you will pass the Castle on the right hand side but continue to go up until the road turn right and pass the olive trees the first houses you will find are: Agriturismo di Cabbiavoli in Via del Vallone 42/49.
Directions from Pisa Airport
Leaving Pisa airport, TURN RIGHT and take the toll-free road to Florence-Livorno (FI-PI-LI) following the direction of Florence. Drive on the "Fi-Pi-Li" and exit at "GINESTRA FIORENTINA". From here, follow the directions as above.
Directions from Castelfiorentino
From Castelfiorentino, take Via Giordano Bruno uphill towards the Ospedale di Santa Verdiana. Turn right to stay on Via Giordano Bruno. Wind down on the overpass into Castelfiorentino. At the stoplight, take a U turn to the RIGHT in the direction of "Renai" (there's a Le Boscarecce sign on the post). Veer right on via A. Vivaldi, the road to Renai (3 km). A dirt road will cross the road and, few yards later, veer to the right at Renai or Le Boschereccie sign under the bridge.
It's an old paved road with grapes on the right. Go over a little bridge and the road curves to the left. Stay on the pavement going up on some rather deep switchbacks. At the top of the hill at the dumpster DO NOT take the gravel road to the right, but TURN LEFT with the paved road. There's a sign saying "di Piazzacalda", and a small sign to Renai. When you reach Renai at the T in the road, TURN RIGHT and in about 5 metres you will reach Agriturismo di Cabbiavoli.

Important note for GPS car navigation system users: The coordinates are: "43.614423, 11.003194". Or key in "Via di Montorsoli, Castelfiorentino" as opposed to "Via del Vallone" as your final destination. |
