Never got the wine or wine tasting that was promised, even though I tried. ... Fabulous rooms with great views. The olocation is excellent--right off the 'highway'--strada, close to a small town, nearby Siena. An incredible deal.

We found it once we asked for further directions in town. This was only due to our missing the very good signage that exists. Daniella was very nice and helpful and spent her time going over recommended side trips which were well documented in a binder that was included in our room. ... Villa Buoninsegna far exceeded our expectations. Our room was very nice, clean and extremely private. We couldn't hear anyone else. We had a beautiful view of the countryside. The breakfasts were extaordinary with a lovely young lady attuned to the guests every need. The breakfast setting was georgeous and the pastries were beyond belief. The two swimming pools were both well kept and quiet and provided a place to just relax. The villages nearby had lovely restaurants and the people everywhere were quite friendly. ... A beautifully renovated Tuscan Villa in a romantic setting of vineyards and olive groves - the picture perfect place when you think 'Tuscany'. In addition it was clean, comfortable, and enchanting and offered and extaordianry setting for a perfect honeymoon.

We had 3 couples staying as a group and all feel that the towel and linen service should be improved. The service was not as we expected. The internet says that there was a washer in the apartment which is not correct. Also the arrangements for the entire duration of our 8 night stay was that there was NO clean linen provided during that entire 8 days period period. We feel that for this level of accomodations this is not accpetable. This situation required the guests to do their own towels and bed sheets Clean bed sheets should be provided at least every 3 nights and perhaps towels as well and not require the guests to wash the sheets. Also it was difficult for all of us to co-ordinate to do the washing of our towels and clothes and bed sheets because their was only one washer for everyone to use and it was very slow. Since all the guests at the location had access to only this one washer is needs to be improved. ... Very convenient and timely ... The Owners were extremely helpful and friendly. The location is superb for persons who wish to travel to surrounding areas. Information on community shopping hours and closures during the week woud be helpful. For example, shops in the community are closed on Wednesdays.

Our plans to get to Villa had to change when we were told the car rental place in Sienna was not open on Sunday and we were arriving on a Sunday. We took a train from Rome to Rapalano Terme thinking we would be able to get a taxi cab to the Villa. However, we were very surprised to arrive at Rapalano Terme to find there was no taxi service. A kind gentleman in a bar gave us a ride to Villa. ... The view of the surrounding farm land was particularly beautiful and we enjoyed the opportunity of touring the facility and watching the owner harvest grapes. ... The Villa has walnut trees, apricot trees and pomegranate trees which guests can pick and eat at leisure. ... I would share the web site and photographs, as words do not do it any justice.

Emphasize the two pool areas. They are lovely and very well kept.
You really need a car for travel in the region and the town of Rappolono Terme is about a 20 to 30 minute walk. ... An ideal way to capture the historical and rural character of Tuscany. Beautifully restored apartments on a 16th century rural estate which still produces wine and olive oil of excellent quality. The helpfulness and hospitality of the owners is outstanding. Well situated for visits to the towns and cities of Tuscany.

We were very impressed by the accommodation. It matched what we saw on the internet. Daniela was very welcoming and very helpful when we needed some assistance. ... An old Villa with all the modern conveniences. Very friendly staff. Set in very scenic vineyards and olive groves. Great place for unwinding. Pools clean. Convenient to Thermal baths in town of Rapalano. As soon as we arrived we felt relaxation.

The villa was in a lovely setting. A very relaxing ambience and the owners very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. A particular mention must go to the breakfasts which were great. ... One of the advantages of staying at the Villa is that it's not on the main tourist trail and so relatively quiet for Tuscany. An excellent base for visting Siena and the southern hillside towns such as Pienza.

I have already recommended Agriturisma Villa Buoninsegna to a friend and described it as a wonderful place to get away to in a great little Italian village. I also expressed my surprise at how spacious our villa was.

my first impresion blew me away. What a beautiful property. ... Villa Buoninsegna was our favorite place to stay in Tuscany. It was charming and centraly located. It is the perfect location to use as a base for touring the countryside. ... The perfect location to use as a base when touring Tuscany. The owner Daniela was charming. Wonderful place even though the weather was poor. Very open, airy accomodation-cappucino maker a very nice touch. The location and setting beautiful. Would like the hosts to provide matches if they could. We don't smoke but did want to use the fireplace to cook one night (in the pleasant spring rain). Loved their suggestions re places to see and also restaraunts- how to get in to the 'old ' part of the local village would also add. All in all, lovely hosts, accomodation and scenery. Can't wait to come back in a few years- Rome is too expensive ! ... Beautiful. Good value. Go a little later when the rain is over.

Carmen was very nice to us when we arrived in the eary evening. She is a very charming person. ... We hurried back for the wine tasting -- it was not provided- nor a tour of the wine cellar.
However Daniella's help with planning the rest of our trip was excellent.
I think Danella should make a point to welcome her guests at some point in the stay. We had to seek her out. ... It could have been a bit more organized and we needed to seek out Danella for the check out.
Also her husband walked right by me without saying hello --- he may not of seen us -- ... Rooms are generous size (loved the high ceilings) and the breakfast is very good.
I'd say that the general surroundings are very nice but the close proximitiy to the less desireable parts of town detract from the overall feel. Also Rampalo Term did not offer much of any dining. ... Good spot to tour Tuscany and parts of Umbria -- Great rooms close to AutoStrata.

Some construction and multiple exits for Rapalano made it confusing. Once we found it we could see how the directions were exactly correct. Just need to be certain to pick the correct exit. You may want to give directions from the town center as well. ... We did not know that a main road would be so close and visable from the property. It was very nice when wanting to drive somewhere, but, not great if you want to sit and enjoy the terrace. We were also disappointed with the availability of resturaunts in Rapalano. We may have missed something, but, we ended up going to another town that was a farther drive in order to have dinner. Minor inconvience. ... Very nice accomodations. Apartment was very spacious and a bargain. Great location for exploring other towns. Easy access to major roads to Siena, Florence, Arrezo, Purugia, and south. Not the perfect location to sit outside and relax on your terrace. Gardens were a nice substitute, but, not private.

We bought 5 bottles of readwine and two bottles of Vino Sancto. We were charged for Eur 70. I do not think the wine was worth that much. ... We thought that we were in the middle of nowhere and did not expect a highway so close. ... Nice place far away from the most known sites.

We stayed for 4 days, and there was no one to clean the apartment during our stay. Not that we needed daily cleaning, but it had been nice to get it vacumed once, and get our towels changed. We did get new towels upon request, though. ... We had to wait a little while, about 10 -15 minutes, because the owner was shaving - so we were a little delayed. There were no specific opening hours, for contacting the reception, or the people in charge. ... I think it's very well described already. ... It's a beautiful old place, really quaint and charming. Nice, quiet surroundings. I would recommend it to everybody who is looking for accomodation a little away form the city. We liked it very much!

We easily found our way by car to Rapolano Terme, where we found the information centre. They had an excellent local map which had Villa Buoninsgena marked on it. It would be useful to have a copy of this map or similar on your website. ... We thorouhgly enjoyed all aspects of our stay at Villa Buoninsegna and it was indeed a highlight of our whole trip. The hosts were friendly and helpful, the accommodation even more fantstic than it looked on the website, and the location perfect for exploring the region. We have already recommended it to family and friends in England - more bookings will follow !!! If we are fortunate enough to return to Italy, we too will return to Villa Bouninsegna, this time for much longer. The Villa now has two swimming pools for the use of the guests. ... As mentioned, the location details could have been a bit more specific.
... A most superb Villa in Tuscany. Spacious, clean, charming accomodaion in a beautiful setting with magnificent views. Easy access to Siena, Florence and the many places of interest in the local area. Facilities include use of two swimming pools.

We checked in without a problem, but never received much information about the property itself, for instance how to arrange a wine or oil tasting, etc. It was not clear how to contact the management if we wanted to arrange additional services. ... It took us a while to locate the owner, but it was all smooth sailing after that.
