 Villa I Bossi is located close to the Tuscan city of Arezzo, in a small valley surrounded by forests and countryside of extraordinary beauty. The Villa, originally built in the medieval period and renovated over the centuries, has hosted artists, politicians, and general appreciators of the finer things in life for over nine hundred years. |
 The current owners, direct descendants of the family who constructed I Bossi in 1028, have decided to give the opportunity to relive a piece of this history, even if for only a few days, to their guests today. One arrives at the Villa by crossing a stone bridge over an ancient moat and passing through the main gate flanked by ivy covered stone walls. |
 The Villa is amidst an Italian style garden in the shape of a cross with a central fountain. Beyond this sculpted garden is an expansive lawn surrounded by age-old pine-trees. Concealed by high boxwoods is a modern swimming pool that is set naturally within the ambience. However, the interior of the Villa reveals its true treasures: paintings, silk tapestries, intricate plaster work, and fine furniture from throughout the age represent various periods and customs of Villa I Bossi. |
 The estate prides itself as well on making its guest confortable. The Villa can easily accomodate ten people in five double rooms, which have remained almost unchanged over the centuries, with adjacent baths. In addition there is a self-contained apartment suitable for two or three people. |
 After a day of exploring the artistic resources of Tuscany, or going for a walk guests are invited to relax in the salone in front of the largestone fireplace sculpted by Benedetto da Maiano, who once soujourned at the Villa for almost a year. Here it is also possible to enjoy a glass of Chianti and a meal specially prepared in the Tuscan style. With its magnificent location and owners' warm hospitality, any stay at Villa I Bossi will truly be a time to remember. |
