By Car: From Milan, Rome and Florence, leave the a1/autostrada del sole at the Val di Chiana tollgate exit and join the dual carriageway (superstrada ) in the direction of Perugia. Take the exit for Farneta few kilometres further on. Farneta abbey is worth visiting for its 9th century crypt and interesting paleontologicaland archeological museum.At Camucia, follow the main road (SS71) in the direction of Arezzo, 300 metres after the village of Tavarnelle with its famous Etruscan tombs, the sign for "Borgo San Pietro" appears on the right.
By Train: the nearest station is Camucia. Express trains generally stop at Terontola, about 10 Km from Cortona; super speed and international trains only stop Arezzo, about 20 Km from the Relais. |
