Would highly recommend this lovely property.
Owner and staff were very nice and the facilities excellent, my partner and I were most impressed and would love to stay there again, should we ever visit that beautiful part of Italy again.

From the patio/swimming pool areas you have a lovely view of San Gimignano which is one of the most beautiful, charming and atmospheric places I have ever had the pleasure to visit.

If you want to stay in a family run converted farmhouse with superb facilities at a realistic price with arguably one of the most beautiful locations in Europe at you doorstep, then Antico Borgo il Cardino should come high on your list for consideration.

A great location - perfectly positioned to
travel around Tuscany on day trips.
Personable staff. Great breakfast included
also.
Beds are very firm - if you prefer a soft
mattress, take a blanket or talk to the staff
about getting some extras. That was my only
very minor problem.
I's be very happy to go again!

The place was great, people were very friendly and accomodating and everything just worked out very nicely. Would highly recommend this place to others, it is conveniently located, access roads are great and we had a great time.

A very lovely place, with warm hearted people, kind and nice. Not too crowded B&B, very good & clean swimming pool, good breakfast. The location itself is great, as you are close to many different villages and towns worth taking a trip to. My husband also ran and rode his bike a lot, the trails are amazing and the nature outstanding.
Will come back again for sure!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Antico Borgo il Cardino. The rooms were clean and seemed recently refurbished to a high standard. The breakfast was vey good and the staff were very friendly. We would recommend the place for anyone staying in Tuscany.

Sara at the front desk was extremely friendly, professional, and helpful upon arrival. We were very tired after a long day of travel and she was able to recommend alot of great options for dinner in around the area as well as make reservations for us.
The rooms were as pictured on the web and were clean and in good repair (the bathrooms are completely new).

The gardens and overall property were beautiful and most of the pictures didn't really capture the beauty of the gardens in full bloom. Having the pool on the property was a definite plus for our family's stay as we were able to relax by the pool after a long day of touring.
The owners offer wine, beer and other beverages for purchase as well as ice cream and other snacks throughout the day and in the evening. The owners are very service-oriented and when we wanted to purchase some wine, they opened the wine, provided us with wine glasses and tray to take to our room and patio.

Perfectly located within a 15 minute drive of San Gimignano which makes touring various cities within the Tuscany region very convenient. More than just a place to sleep, the property provided us with great accommodations and service at a reasonable price, complete with a wonderful breakfast each morning on an outdoor covered patio. The property and the pool, as well as the small patio outside our room, provided us with opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.

Antico Borgo il Cardino is a lovely B&B, in a beautiful location in the hills of Tuscany, a few minutes from San Gimignano. The rooms are clean, cozy and comfortable and the breakfast buffet is delicious, including home made pastry. The owners really make guests feel like family. They even fly the flags of the countries of the guests while there.

Check out was quick and efficient, with prices exactly as quoted. The owners even loaded our luggage in the car! We hated to leave this lovely site.

We loved Antico Borgo il Cardino -- a lovely B&B in the beautiful hills of Tuscany. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, the buffet at breakfast is delicious, and the swimming pool inviting. This is a wonderful place to relax and explore the hill towns of Tuscany.
We definitely plan on returning for another stay!

Upon our arrival Leandro was there to check us in & show us our room & around the rest of the premises. He was very friendly & told us about the rest of the staff, suggested places to eat & made us feel at home immediately.

We had a wonderful stay at il Cardino. The breakfasts (and dinner)were delicious. We enjoyed interacting with everyone, Monika & Leandro were wonderful hosts, Lucia & Sara were super at suggesting places to eat & out of the way sights to see away from the madding crowd.

A wonderfully warm & friendly B&B. Very attentive staff, delicious buffet breakfast and nice spacious clean rooms. Great for singles, couples, a romantic getaway and/or families. Each room has complete privacy. Beautiful inground pool area, grounds & views.

My husband and I actually increased the length of our original stay, and even returned again during our trip. The Albergo was quiet, peaceful, well taken care of and the staff were wonderfully friendly and eager. The view was wonderful, the pool was fabulous and the breakfast was widely varied and well presented. (great coffee with hot milk!). There is local wine available at the Albergo, and there is a small store and a quaint little restaurant within a short walk.
By far, this was the best small town hospitality we saw in Tuscany.

There is really not a dinner available, though there is a menu for food... the staff is willing to accommodate most requests.

We had a wonderfull week at Antico Borgo il Cardino. It was a small paradise in Tuscany and everyone was smiling, kind and made you feel at home. The room and surroundingw were kept clean and nice and we enjoyed having some time at the pool when not sightseeing. The arrangement that you can order lunch or dinner if you stay at home was grest. We will and have allready recommended the place to friends and family.

We were in the middle of a wine country and we bought all kinds of delightful wine, but we missed some nice glass to drink from, plastic serves its purpose but does not give the wine what it deserves!
Also we missed a small coffee mashine so that we could make a cup og coffe/tea whenever we wanteed.
these comments does not take away that it was a small paradise and we enjoyed every minute.

This is a paradise in Tuscany and if you can go there and enjoy your vacation, then do so.

Il Cardino was a great retreat! The pool was fantastic and perfect for relaxation. The location was ideal; close to Pisa, Florence and Sienna. The staff were very courteous and the rooms were immaculate. We'll definitely be returning!

Other than the driving instructions being clearer the arrival was very easy and pleasant.

The staff, including husband/wife owners, were very friendly, polite, professional and helpful. The accommodations were as expected, however could be improved with better bedside lighting for those of us who like to read in the evening.

We had a problem with our rental car while we were in Tuscany. The assistance we received from the staff at Antico in trying to contact the rental car company and get it resolved was very helpful, which we thoroughly appreciated.
