The weather was very hot. The bedrooms on the top floors were very uncomfortable. They cannot control the weather but they could provide a fan. After the third night, we purchased two fans.
...
More pictures, especially the lemon tree lined courtyard and passageways.
...
A typical Tuscan hilltop old hamlet beautifully renovated on the outside and nicely modernized inside. Must have car and not be afraid to drive in Italy.

Please stay as you are: compared to last year it was sometimes a bit noisy at the swimmingpool at night: loud music that did not really fit to the quiet environment. I don't mean the karaoke night, that's o.k., but I'm referring to the end of the afternoon, beginning of the evening. Borgo Giusto = Relaxing. For entertainment we'd rather go elsewhere.

Peaceful, relaxed. A great place to enjoy the real Tuscany.

perhaps, there should be a possibility to buy
bread in the borgo!
also the possibility to buy stamps in the reception and an installation of a mailbox in the borgo, because it was very difficult to find a mailbox in the surroundings of the Borgo !

Very good. Staff very welcoming, spoke good English & showed us around the accomodation.
...
This was our second stay there. It is a lovely place in a very beautiful part of Tuscany.
...
Everything was ready for departure.
...
Ideal location for Lucca, Pisa and Firenze. Good for trips north into the mountains. Villages with good grocery stores very close by.
...
A great place for either relaxing or holidaying with children.

It was a very easy arrival procedure - quick and friendly.

The atmosphere at Borgo Giusto was very family oriented (at least the week we were there), which was very nice for us. The gorgeous pool is perfect for entertaining kids, and the availability of meals at the pool was an added bonus. We will definitely book here again!
...
The long, winding, narrow driveway could make some cautious drivers uncomfortable. My uncle who was staying elsewhere would not visit us there after the first time - he was too nervous about that driveway (he was nervous about driving in Italy in general).
...
Borgo Giusto is one of the most beautiful places we've stayed in Italy - and by far the best one for a family. The restaurant, pool, and enclosed village setting makes bringing kids very easy. It's also a fantastic location for touring northern Tuscany. I would highly recommend it and will book there again myself.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Borgo Giusto-it is a beautiful and tranquil place in which to spend a holiday.
The staff were wonderful, the food excellent and very reasonably priced considering that there were very few alternatives nearby, and none within walking distance.
The road leading to Borgo Giusto was a bit tortuous but it all became worthwhile when you finally reach it and look across chestnut tree-surrounded swimming pool at the gorgeous views. Would definitely recommend it!

The accomodation was superb and the setting very beautiful . We found that with two children we did not want to eat at the set menu offered by Borgo Giusto. Unfortunately there was no real alternative on offer .
There was little information available from staff as to how cleaning etc was to be carried out.You were left to yourself pretty much.
...
Checked out promptly .
...
A very beautiful location for a relaxing holiday around the pool , but ideal for visits to Cities in the locality. Especially Pisa and Florence.

It seems to be a general problem with Italian Hotels that the showers are not working well. Too small and the heas of the shower does not work.
...
You must be in good condition, because the way from your appartement too the pool or parking place goes up and down. or elderly people or some with any kind of problems with the legs this is not the rigth place to stay.

As we had travelled from Canada for our stay at Borgo Giusto, it would have been nice to have the basic essentials provided such as dish cloth and dish soap.

ad 6: all staff very polite except one member in the restaurant. This man was very unkind.

ad 8: the shower was a bit narrow. The bed in the living area no very good quality. Fortunately our kids slept well, but it is not advisable for adults.
...
We liked the place and the atmosphere. However, we did not frequently use the restaurants as we judged price/quantity level not ok (small portions for relatively high price, quality ok).

We would advise staff to install a daily fresh bread service so you can enjoy fresh bread during your breakfast in the appartments.
...
Romantic village, nice staff, privacy not optimal.

We should like it if there was a terrace at the side of the swimming pool and may be a small restaurant that servs simple dishes onfriday and saturday.
It must be nice if the tabletennis was also outside naer that terrace so there is something to do in the evening.
I think a lot of people should like it that yuo can meet each other,(with no problems to take some drinks from yourself in the evening).
Now it is a little bit steril
...
Very new and so a littele bit 'clean'

Website advertised a children's play area. This existed but was overgrown with long grass and could not be used. On our 8th day the grass was cut and our children were able to access the play area for the last 2 days of our holiday. There was also a tennis court which was not well kept.
...
Borgo Giusto is very child friendly but there a many steps which are difficult to manage for small children or older people.

Restaurant is reasonably priced providing local cuisine.
...
Rustic accomodation which was clean, well equipped and very well run in a 17th century hillside village. Pools are beautiful and very well kept. The grass areas were not kept as well as you would expect.

The directions are fairly clear, but there is a point at the very end of the trip where the road divides to the right and straight, and it's unclear which way to go. More signs once one enters into the village of Valdotavvo would be helpful.
...
very pleasant. The only comment I have it fans would be nice for the hot July and August months.
...
The only negative regarding Borgo Giusto is that while it is only 14 km from Lucca, those are 14 very narrow and often congested roads. You may want to mention that the drive-time to Lucca is about 35 minutes.
...
Pleasant, full of children and families, well-kept, very reasonably priced, friendly staff, although only one staff member seemed to speak English (which wasn't a big deal for us, but could be for some). In the final analysis, an excellent option for a villa in Tuscany.
