This is a great place to stay, lovely location, great food and very friendly and helpful staff. The place is a modern rennovation of an old farmhouse and its outbuildings. We stayed in a double room though the majority of the accomodation seems to be apartments/studios and geared towards longer stays.
The only criticism I would have is that the soundproofing between floors could be improved but, that apart, it gets top marks in its class.

The villa is beautiful--we could not believe our view of the lush Tuscan valley. Picture perfect. Also, the restaurant is fabulous--get the tiramisu.

The town nearby, Castelnuovo Berardenga, is a gorgeous little Italian town. There's a wonderful wine shop there where a great red wine can be bought for 2.50 Euros, along with a tiny shop that sells delicious gelati.

The Hotel Borgo Casato is an ideal Tuscan place to stay. You feel secluded enough when you're there, but there's still a great town a five-minute drive away. Also, you're well situated between Siena and Florence. Best of all there's Jacopo, the hard-working and friendly man who oversees just about everything about the place. His helpfulness, energy, and openness helped make our time there extremely memorable.

We received excellent service from Jacopo, who was the main person--receptionist, concierge, waiter, pool attendent, etc. He got us tickets to a Palio dinner at the last minute, and provided excellent advice on sights in the area.

This is a perfect place to stay in Tuscany--ideally located, quiet, elegant and with good service.

The online driving directions should note that you should follow the signs off the highway to 'Castelnuovo Bernardenga.' We were confused and tried to take a left immediately off the highway, which led us in the wrong direction.
Once we arrived at the hotel, everything was wonderful. Jacopo was very friendly and immediately showed us to our room.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Borgo Casato. The rooms (and bathrooms) were clean, modern, and had all the amenities that we expected. The food at the restaurant (both breakfast and dinner) was delicious. Jacopo and the staff were always very friendly and accommodating. Jacopo was also very willing to answer our questions about how to get to certain places, etc. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would recommend Hotel Borgo Casato to others who travel to Tuscany.

The website is very comprehensive and contains helpful information about the hotel. The only thing were were a bit surprised about is the fact that it is located a bit past Siena (coming from Florence) and is a bit less centrally located than we originally thought.

The caretaker was very accommodating at all times and completely catered to our needs. Even when there were language barriers with the locals.

The area was beautiful without questions. The only thing was that you may want to rent a car, as it's located 20-30 minutes outside of Siena and the taxi's were not cheap.

Even though the place was just getting started and only open for 2-3 months, I felt they did a very good job. Plus they omitted some of the extra costs we incurred as well.

Couldn't have made us feel more at home. Very comfortable and accommodating. Be sure and take the tour of the Chianti Valley - well worth it!

The web site gave the impression that there was a large, busy, noisy restaurant as part of the hotel. There is a restaurant, run by the owners, but its not noisy and is very low key, very nice food and beautiful setting.

The scenery around the Hotel is beautiful, its very convenient location to Siena and the Chianti area of Rhadda.

A lovely low key place to stay that is a good quality for the price and the restaurant is nice. We enjoyed having the restaurant on site for our initial lunch and one of our dinners - it was just nice to go downstairs rather than get back in the car.

The room was very good, the staff were polite and cute. BUT, the breakfast menu was very poor and boring. One kind only of cheese, ham. There wosn't egg or susage.

The directions to the hotel told us to turn left instead of right after we got off E78 from Siena. The turn should be to the right, towards Castelnuovo Berardenga, rather than left, towards Castelnuovo Berardenga Scalo.

the website offered lunch, but they did not seem to offer it. Also, alot of noise coming from kitchen (talking and music etc) while trying to relax around pool.

A little confusing since the restaurant signs were at the road side, but not the hotel signs. We were not sure we were in the right place, but we figured it out!

The room was small (as expected) and cramped with luggage. The room was very clean and quiet. Restaurant was not open for dinner both nights we were there.

If the restaurant is seasonal or only open weekends, it would be good to state it. Under the circumstances, it would be good to provide recommendations and directions to nearby establishments to help at the end of long day.

Charming, well kept, quiet, and maybe a bit on the remote side. Excellent breakfast with a great cup of capuchino. We would certainly consider it on a return trip to Tuscany.

The directions could have been more detailed. After we saw the sign and made the turn off the state road, we stopped for directions twice and the local people were little help, due to our language barrier. Just a few more lines in the directions would suffice.

There could be better information about the difference, of the hotel rooms and apartment in sence of service.
