Casa al vento was peacefully located up in the mountains with amazing views of surrounding vineyards, staff was very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was excellent and borgo casa al ventos own wine was in our opinion one of the best in chianti (DOCG). Our apartment Capannina was private and quiet and romantic, we were on our honeymoon..

The apartment was wonderful, the hotel very nice. We didn't realize that our apartment would have an apartment above it and there was some noise from people walking overhead, but not enough noise for us to complain.
The pool had much too much chlorine in it. I mentioned something to one of the employees who took care of the pool, but his English wasn't good enough to understand this. All of the guests commented on the high level of chlorine in the pool.
We were in an apartment with a kitchen so we did not use the dining facilities. I heard from several other guests who were using the dining facilities that the food was not very good. Don't know this firsthand though, since we never ate at the hotel.

I had paid the full amount on check in and was leaving very early in the morning. I checked with person in charge and he told me to just leave the room key at the front desk when I left. I had already received a receipt for my payment upon check-in so check-out was very easy!

charming hotel consisting of several buildings located down a long dirt road with spectacular views on three sides of rolling hills and vineyards. Very private setting. Rooms all have patios off of them.

Signage once we arrived was excellent. I didn't get anything online.

I was disappointed that some of the things mentioned on the site were not available. Like bike rentals and grilling. The site also looked a bit nicer than the actual place. It could have been cleaner.

If you want something private and remote, this is the place. Be prepared to do everything on your own, it isn't like a hotel where there is someone always available. The scenery was awesome. The place was relatively clean.
