The countryside experience would not be complete unless the food you eat is completely natural. This is why breakfast is a real treat at Borgo dei Sensi: in spring and summer, you will enjoy this first meal on the panoramic deck, with wonderful views of the valley, while in cold days guests occupy the winter garden. |
You can have jam, marmalade, honey, fruit juices, homemade cakes, cookies and biscuits; there is also yoghurt, cereals, eggs, bacon and cheese. At lunchtime you may try the light dishes prepared with products from the farm, it is a buffet including vegetables, pies and pasta, while at dinner time guests can choose to have supper with the owners: if you decide to stick around, try the chianina steak with some Tuscan wine.

The SPA
However, the jewel of Borgo dei Sensi is its spa, the unique centre of all centre Italy, which includes various areas and treatments, inspired in the original roman spas: the Salus per Aquam is a delightful waterfall where you can spend the afternoon; the relax centre offers a varied menu of soothing experiences, from the "tepidarium" to the "aromarium" and the "calidarium". There are also massages and special programmes for couples. |

At Borgo dei Sensi there are all sorts of activities to enjoy time outdoors. You can go trekking, go around on bikes or try archery, and outside the estate there are facilities for golf, swimming in the lake and horseback riding. Prato is a really interesting city to visit if you rent a car during your stay. It is only 15 kilometres away, and it gathers some of the best churches in the area: at Santo Stefano cathedral, do not miss the frescoes by Filippo Lippi, and visit too the temples dedicated to St Domenico, St Agostino and St Fabiano. |
