 The area surrounding offers plenty of walking trails or jump on a bike and discover the area via two wheels and stop of at many picturesque places that over views of the area. Near by you can also spend the day discovering the area on horse back as there is some stables close. In the Pistoia area you can marvel at the medieval city within its old walls. The Piazza del Duomo is lined with attractive old buildings such as the Palazzo del Comune and the Palazzo del Podestá. In July there is a traditional bear joust where the best horse men in the area get together and lance a dummy shaped as a bear. There are also many churches to discover from different times in the past. |
