Barbialla Nuova was a very nice place to stay, the only thing negative was that the property is 4km from the main road. With our motorbike is was not easy to drive to our house. It was about 14km to a supermarket,but you get used to it.

The directions were clear until we turned off the main road. Directional markers on the unpaved roads could have been more prominently placed. As it was it wass difficult to find the property. We also called the phone numbers as requested, but no one answered the phone and all we could do was leave a message. We were fortunate that someone was actually at the property when we stumbled upon it. The people were very helpful and friendly once they arrived.

The pool was not opened and thus unavailable for use, though it was a bit cool and we may not have used it.

The property needs to put up better directional signs once off the main road.
The staff are incredibly nice and very helpful. They were of great assistance in planning trips to interesting places in Western Tuscany.
The farmhouse has three apartments, so you will likely be sharing the building and grounds with other vacationers. We had a very large group from Belgium (six adults and five small children) in the upstairs apartment during most of our stay.

A restored stone and brick farmhouse at the top of a hill on a large farm in rural Tuscany. It was quite remote, but a very good value for the money.

Our vacation was very good. Very restful. The swimming pool was great, big and clean. We used it every day.
The rooms are simle, but very comfortable and clean. We were with two children and they felt magnificently.

We can pay a day befor we leave, because of the early start. We bought some home produce and pay all together.

At Doderi they have lots of fruit trees. We loved it. Just go out and eat plums, apricots and so on. And those fantastic rosemary bushes...

If you want to fill up energy, have a rest and eat delicious dishes try it. It is very good centre to visit Volterra, San Gimignano, Firenze, Vinci,Pisa. We find San Vincenzo, where you can find a sandy beach. And the way you go there...fantastic.

I didn't know that I had to phone before arrival and consequently there was no-one to receive us, because of the size of the property. The signs from the main road into the gravel road is also not very clear.

The farm is a real jewel, a wonderful place for a retreat. The staff is very helpful and the truffle hunting is an experience not to be missed.

It is like an island of tranquility and seclusion in an otherwise very busy countryside.

We had a very enjoyable time at Barbialla Nuova. The service provided by WorldBy was great, particularly when I had not received a reply to an accomodation request to another property. I certainly didn't expect Worldby to send me a follow-up email to advise that the enquiry was being attended to rather than lost, however that email was greatly appreciated. Barbialla Nuova was lovely and as were the hosts. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to use this service or stay at Barbialla Nuova again.

There seemed to more accomodation options available at the property than was apparent on Tuscany.Net.

The website provided sufficient information to make a decision as it stated the key attractions i.e. organic farm, truffle producer and livestock, plus some information on the accomodation.

We were quite satisfied with the accommodation. Only the swimming pool was smaller than we had expected.

It was a quite nice place to stay, with a lot of nature but it was a bit remote. That was OK for us, but some people may find it too isolated.

The apartment was linked to another apartment via a door hence it can be very noisy. The lighting in the apartment is very poor. It was far too dark at night to read and given that this is what's encouraged, the lighting should be a lot better. The bedrooms and bathrooms were fine. The living/kitchen area was very poorly equipment - no chopping board, not enough adequate frying pans/saucepans. One single sofa was not enough for 4 people. The living area is very uninviting, it's not somewhere you could sit down and relax. The washing m/c is kept in another house and the gate to the house is often locked.

For Summer vacation, it's probably good value since it the same rate for the whole year. The apartment is fine if you only want it for sleeping purposes. The interior of the property is not somewhere you can relax in.
