Profile

The privacy of the estate is preserved by the surrounding
15 hectares of olive groves which are cultivated by the owner for an annual harvest of olive oil. There is also a small vineyard, an orchard of fruit trees and a scented garden.

The property overlooks a valley of endless vineyards and olive groves. Behind the property
the church bell tower in the village stands out against the horizon. By night the small clusters of the village buildings are lit with tiny lights.

The property is a cluster of meadows and courtyards with wells that are surrounded by buildings that dates from the beginning of the 19th century. These are deliberately preserved with their original character, with ancient Tuscan stone in order to emphasise the relationship between the antiquity of the buildings and modern comfort.

Inside the buildings have many features that have been lost to a past age and that
carry the tradition of antiquity into the present age...and the rest is for you to discover!

The Podere Barberino in Chianti is
200 metres outside the village. Our guests can forget their cars and stroll into the village which is well appointed with shops the cover every necessity. There are also restaurants, wine bars and cafès where you can enjoy live music during the summer, and a children's play area. If you want to explore further afield there are frequent bus services to Florence, Siena and nearby towns.
