How to reach Badia a Coltibuono from Florence:
.Take the Autostrada A1 direction Southbound towards Roma
.Exit the Autostrada at VALDARNO Exit. Don't mix it up with INCISA VALDARNO, it is just Valdarno, 15 km after the Exit of Incisa.
.After paying the Autostrada toll turn right following the signs to the town of Montevarchi.
.After 1 km of straight road follow the road to the right following directions for Montevarchi/Arezzo/Siena. Do not follow indications for Levane / Bucine / Siena which will lead you to the left.
.Continue straight and you will pass over both the Autostrada and the River.
.Follow directions for MONTEVARCHI/AREZZO/SIENA, the road bends to the left.
.Continue straight until you come to a large roundabout.
.Follow signs for CAVRIGLIA/GAIOLE IN CHIANTI/SIENA on State Road N° 408. There is also a brown sign for Badia a Coltibuono.
.This road leads you through a short underpass and bends to the left, continue on this road for approx 7 km until you reach a roundabout with a sculpture and the writing CAVRIGLIA.
.Follow for GAIOLE IN CHIANTI / SIENA
.Continue on the same road for a further 8km until you arrive at a crossroads/intersection. Turn right towards Radda in Chianti on the road SS 429. After 40 metres turn right into the drive of Badia a Coltibuono and follow the road until you reach the Abbey. 1Km.
.Lease note that driving time from Florence to Coltibuono is about 1hour 30mins
How to reach Badia a Coltibuono from Rome:
.Take the Autostrada A1 direction Florence (Northbound);
.Get out of the Autostrada at Valdarno Exit;
.Same as above.
.Driving time from Rome Airport : 3 hrs.
How to reach Badia a Coltibuono from Siena:
.Take State Road 408 (SS 408) towards Gaiole in Chianti/Montevarchi
.Drive through the village of Gaiole in Chianti and after 5 km you will reach a crossroads/ intersection with Road SS 429. turn left towards Radda in
Chianti.
.After 40 metres turn right into the drive of Badia a Coltibuono and follow the road until you reach the Abbey. 1Km
.Follow the walls of the old abbey and turn left at the end of the buildings until you see the large double doors which are the entrance to the house and Bed and Breakfast.
.Please note that driving time from Siena to Coltibuono is of about 1hour
How to reach Badia a Coltibuono from San Gimignano:
.Drive east towards Poggibonsi;
.Take State Road n° 429 (SS 429) towards Castellina in Chianti;
.At Castellina in Chianti continue towards Radda in Chianti;
.After driving through Radda in Chianti, proceed towards Montevarchi, still driving on State Road n° 429 following also directions to Badia a Coltibuono
.Just before the crossroads/intersection with the state Road n° 408 turn left into the drive of Badia a Coltibuono.
.Folllow the drive until you reach the Abbey.
.Follow the walls of the old abbey and turn left at the end of the buildings until you see the large double doors which are the entrance to the house and Bed and Breakfast.
.Please note that driving time from San Gimignano to Coltibuono is of about 1h 30 minutes.
Once arrived at Coltibuno...
