The Marzalla agriturismo complex contains a splendid 6 by 12 metre "ecological" swimming pool (where the water is treated by salt only: no pollutant chemical products are used), which is open from June 1st till September 30th. |
 The swimming pool overlooks the picturesque vineyard and sun beds and umbrellas are provided for the guests. The grounds contain a lake for angling, a volleyball court, a football pitch, a shaded park for relaxing walks, mountain bike rides, a public tennis court (300 metres away) and a riding school (5 kilometres away). |
 The estate also offers:
- the conference room, which retains the charm and decor of the original "carriage room" which it had replaced, can seat up to 40 people should you wish to hold a meeting or convention. The room is also equipped with a sound system (for speech) and a projector, video-recorder, telephone and fax.
- the cellar with its earthenware jars of olive oil (called "coppi") and casks of "vinsanto"(called "caratelli"), where we will be happy to accompany you on a guided tasting of our local production.
- the restaurant, a long-established, romantic location run by the Cecchi de' Rossi family, where you can taste exquisite dishes from traditional Tuscan cooking. |

The Marzalla Agriturismo farm is located in the "Valdinievole" area, famous since Roman times for its fertile soil and its especially suitable climate. Our farm offers its guests a holiday surrounded by old traditions which allows you to enter into the peaceful and relaxing pace of life that is a feature of the countryside. You can forget the frenetic pace of modern life while still in easy reach, by car or train, of the beautiful and characteristic cities of Tuscany. The train station is only 800 metres away.
You can visit, for example, the city of Lucca only 18 Km away, where you can cycle along the ancients city walls, Pisa, with its unforgettable leaning tower and Piazza dei Miracoli 50 Km, Pistoia 20 Km, Florence, the cradle of world art, 60 Km.
For mountain and hiking enthusiasts we can offer the Alpi Apuane Mountains with their marble caves, the Garfagnana (25 Km) with its famous "Grotta del Vento", Mount Abetone in the Tuscan Apennines, with its botanic gardens. For those who love the sea, we can suggest the exclusive Forte dei Marmi in the heart of Versilia, and only an hour car journey away are the famous "Cinque terre" which you can visit on horseback, by carriage or by bike.
Finally, bird-watching enthusiasts can visit Padule di Fucecchio, aboard traditional boats, where it is still possible to admire rare species of both birds of fish. Let us also not forget, for admirers of garden architecture, a visit to the gardens of the three "Ville Lucchesi" (Villa Reale, Villa Mansi, Villa Torrigiani).
An obligatory stop for all Opera lovers is the "Torre del Lago" on Lake Massaciuccoli (25 Km) where you can listen to live performances of "Boheme" and "Madam Butterfly" held in an evocative open-air setting near the birthplace of Giacomo Puccini
As regards children, they mustn't miss a trip to Collodi and Pinocchio's village, which you can reach from the farm by following an ancient Roman road. Pinocchio's village (www.pinocchio.it). combines art, nature and fun, it's open throughout the year from 8.30 to dusk and there is no need to book ahead
If, on the other hand, you would like Marzalla Agriturismo to organise everything, then we can organise guided tours throughout Tuscany for groups or families, with or without transport, or we can book or purchase tickets for any museum or theatre that you may wish to visit, so that you find everything arranged when you arrive. |
