 The apartments in the village, situated within the medieval walls, and the hotel rooms of the "Paggeria Medicea" are both in true Tuscan style and enjoy absolute peace and quiet and a marvellous view over the hills. At the same time, every comfort is provided for the guests, including facilities for business meetings (satellite TV, multimedia facilities for conferences, swimming pool, tennis, etc.) and a restaurant.
The journeys made to savour the food and wine at the Artimino farm and to taste the famous Carmignano D.O.C.G., culminate in the "Biagio Pignatta" restaurant, dedicated to Ferdinando de' Medici's first butler, where the dishes that have made Tuscany famous throughout the world prevail.

The little hamlet of Artimino stands on a vine-covered hilltop in countryside so peaceful and unspoilt that you feel transported back to Renaissance Italy. It is hard to belive that Florence is only 24 kms away. |
 This is an ancient wine-producing area where superb wines have been made since the days of the Medici. In the 16th century the Medici family built a splendid villa at Artimino which has been carefully restored. The page's quarters (La Paggeria built in 1594) have been converted into a unique hotel. It was completely re-structurated in 1983. The exterior of the long, low 2-storey building has been left unchanged and the spacious bedrooms retain the high, beamed ceilings. |
 Artimino Apartments
Only 24 kms west of Florence, the tiny unspoilt hamlet of Artimino offers peace and tranquillity in a Renaissance setting. Artimino has been associated with wine production since the 16th century and many of the historical buildings have now been restored and converted by Hotel La Paggeria Medicea into charming apartments. Artimino is 45 miles from Pisa and 24 kms from Florence. Internally the apartments are well furnished, yet spacious and airy with many features. Two bottles of wine will be offered at each apartment on arrival and guests have the opportunity to buy further wine and oil during the stay. Guests may also use the facilities including the swimming pool and tennis courts of the Hotel La Paggeria Medicea which is approximately 400 meters away.
