 Reception and Turistic Information
In the morning and in the afternoon we are at your disposal to solve any problem and to recommend you about tours, shops, restaurants and everything could interest you. We have a lot of brochures that will be helpful in your excursions: maps, walking or biking outings, information about the little historic villages all around here...
"Le Cose Buone" ("The good things") - Produce Corner
We have different kinds of our organic produce (wine, oil, honey, vinsanto e cantucci - Senese typical sweet wine and biscuits - jams, truffles...): you can taste them whenever you want!
The Little Library
We have starter not long ago to collect books for put them at your disposal. They are books about our local history and our land, but also novels, classics, cooking books.... We are trying to offer a big variety of readings (in different languages) that could be appreciate during your relax. Reading in our panoramic garden under an oak could be very pleasant.... so, if you want to read something but you have forgotten your favourite books at home we will pleased to offer you ours!
The Little Kitchen Garden
This is our homage for your stay for let you taste the genuine flavours of seasonal vegetables, tasty, fresh and obviously cultivated without fertilizer. You can harvest whatever you want, help yourself and... delight yourself!
Mountain Bikes
We have mountain bikes in the reception, they are at your disposal.
Wood-burning Oven and Barbecue
Near the swimming pool you can find a wood-burning oven and a stone barbecue that you can use whenever you want for trying the most ancient baking of the world! If you are not expert we will be very pleased to take care of you!
Wood for the Fireplace
Firewood for the fireplace is sideways the wood-burning oven and the stone barbecue and it's already hacked and piled. There you can find also a small cart for pick up the wood in your apartment.
Laundry
Near the barbecue there's a common laundry, furnished with a small font for hand washing and with a washing machine. You can find there also the cleanser and some clotheshorse at your disposal. |
 Our Activities
In our Farmhouse you can do a lot of things: relax, rest, enjoy the landscape, paint, read, make photos.... or you can attend the weekly activities we organize. Maybe you expect something unusual from your holiday here, like having experience related to our territory, our tradition and local culture. So we have thought letting you try our best specialisms! We hope to leave you something unique and authentic you can keep into your best memories' book.
Hand Made Pasta Course
You are all invited to improve the "sophisticate art" of making pici - our typical hand made pasta - or tagliatelle, ravioli, or what we would like to try at the moment. You will learn to prepare the dough, to knead it and to create different shapes that in a few minutes of cooking will became a delicious dish. Usually then we prepare an easy gravy and we eat all together! Time: we start at about 6:00 p.m. and we finish when we are satiated by the food and by the chatters! The day and the time is decided day by day. Theres is an extra cost. We suggest: This is one of the most successful activities.
The Grape Harvest (Seasonal - September/October)
For participate at our harvest you must be very lucky because you must be on holiday in autumn and in the right period: the harvest is only few days long and we never know exactly the starting day. Take part of this experience is really funny: we harvest grapes, we chat, we joke and we laugh a lot. Usually all our family participate! If you would like to help us one morning we can offer you the "agricultural lunch" and we assure you an unforgettable afternoon nap....
Olive Harvesting (Seasonal - October/November/December)
We need your help! You are never enough, the olives are so much and they are all hand-harvested.... sometimes the olive trees seem never finishing. But it isn't only an hard work. It's wonderful think that in a few days these olives will be up to a dish of pasta or a hot bruschetta (toasted Tuscan bread)....
Note: The olive pickers are compensated by oil not by money..... it's our tradition. Each 100 kg of olive harvested you can earn 7 kg of oil!
We suggest: If you have arms for work and heart for feel it's an exciting effort.
"WELL-BEING NEST"
This is our little well-being center, where we do our best to help you forget everyday stress and fatigue and get back to your life fully regenerated, thanks to your holiday with us. Our philosophy about this is: no fancy-sounding names or frilly treatments but lots and lots of real quality... Starting with the products we use: they're obtained from the raw materials we cultivate here on our farm, completely organic... wine, olive oil, honey, yogurt, fruit, rose petals, medicinal plants...
A few words about the properties of these products:
Wine, rich in tannin and bioflavonoids, tones muscles, protects capillaries and stimulates the immune system; honey has emollient, softening and antibacterial properties; olive oil contains squalenes, phytosterols and carotenoids, giving it moisturizing, elasticizing and antioxidant action... which means anti-aging; rose petals have always been known for their beneficial effect on the skin; yogurt, rich in active ferments and lactic acid, moisturizes, tones and restores the proper balance to the microorganisms in the skin.
We offer relatively few, simple treatments, but we pay attention to every detail and aim at the highest results; usually the treatments include a serving of herbal tea and a "recovery" period, to increase the effectiveness and guarantee maximum relaxation.

Truffle Hunting
With the precious collaboration of Mauro and Rino we go to the nearest woods, in secret places, and we unleash our dogs that are launched in an exciting truffle hunting. Isn't easy to find truffles, but the experience is really electrifying!
Time: The hunting is about 40 minutes long and we decide day by day the starting. We suggest: You must try! If you find some truffle you can take it_ they are really precious!
Hot-Air Balloon Flight
You have to make a reservation very early but it's really a fantastic experience. You have to wake up very early in the morning and help Massimiliano in assembling the basket and in taking off the balloon right from our Farmhouse!
Time: The flight is about 50 minutes long and we decide together the day.
We suggest: For the ones who wants to try an original experience and fly over the one of the most splendid valleys of the world_ a different point of view for observe the Chianti's landscape!

Claudia was born in Italy but grew up in France. After studying history of art and languages, she trained as a tour guide in France then moved to Siena where she gives guided tours of the city and surrounding area in Italian, French and English. She organizes tours for our guests at the Farmhouse, creating fascinating, tailor-made itineraries for all those who wish to learn more about the region's art, traditions and cuisine. Her great enthusiasm makes each trip a pleasure for every visitor. |
