We had a wonderful time and would go back. The accomodations were great and the people were wonderful. A great location to explore Tuscany from. ... A great place to stay that is close to all major attractions in Tuscany. Antico Pastificio gives the flavour of the region and is still located in a great small town with everything you need to be very comfortable. Great people, food, facilities and privacy. The only way it could have been better is if we had stayed longer. ... See above.

Although there was no-one on site at the time that we arrived, a very nice note was left for us detailing exactly where to find our accommodation within the complex, as well as other relevant information. We were very happy with this. ... We loved every aspect of our stay at Antico Pastificio and hope to visit again one day. There was helpful information left in our room and the price was very good. ... Although there was no-one there when we checked out, we were confident in what we had to do with the keys etc. All monies had been paid prior to checkout. ... Helpful information and suggestions of what to do that were left in the villa were great. Because of this we found excellent things to do that we would not have otherwise known about. ... Greve is a lovely little town with a Piazza that has everything that you could want without the big city life-style. Antico Pastificio, located just a short stroll from the piazza, is an old pasta factory that has been beautifully converted into apartments of varying sizes. The garden has a lovely pool which is surrounded by a vineyard on one side and hills on the other. A very relaxing place to be.

Additioanlly it well situated for day tours around Tuscany. The apartemnt was spacious and clean. We love to visit again!

Can be difficult to get to on Sunday and when there is a market as there are barriers on most roads. ... Sofabed was of poor quality and very difficult to attain a good nights sleep.
Pool was descibed as child friendly but was only suitable for older kids (over 12 years)
Location of appartments were very good and walking distance to shops and restaurants ... Check out was 10;00 am which was stated but still very early. ... Monicca Mariotti was very helpful with advice on where to go and eat. ... A nice appartment with good facilities. Ideal location in Chianti. Value for money.

Happy surpise on checking in - invited to a drinks/snacks party by the pool early evening whree we met other residents; very pleasant way to begin our stay ... The accommodation & services were excellent; we would be happy to recommend this property to others; the situation in Greve was ideal for exploring Tuscany and it was good to be in the town, so convenient for restaurants etc in the evening. ... Apartments are very large and spacious; ... Ideal place to stay in central Tuscany; we will be recommending it to others and hope to return ourselves

our room was very nice and clean but small for two people. We were grateful that our room had air-conditioning. The pool area was very inviting and well layed out. We enjoyed our late afternoons around the pool after a hot day exploring the area. The young man (Marco?) who welcomed us was fantastic. He was very pleasant and accomodating. The welcoming wine he offered us was unexpected and well received. (The wine was pretty good.) Because the location is so centrally located,we would definitely stay there again on our next trip to Chianti. ... Change the tiny bedside lights. They give out no light and it's impossible to read by them. I had to unscrew the lampshade and hold the lamp in front of my book in order to read.
Add hooks in the bathroom so that we may hang our towels/swim suits to dry.

The restuarant that we were to have breakfast at did not open until noon. ... It was a very nice hotel, very quiet location - parking for your vehicle which is great and the bed was very comfortable. Very short walk to the town square where you will find resturants, bars and shopping.

Monica Mariotti greeted us at the gate and did a fantastic orientation of the hotel and the surrounding area. She made our stay very enjoyable. ... We will certainly reccommend Antico Pastificio Ulisse Mariotti to all of our friends. ... Easy and fast ... More information about the location, very close to the main square, but with vineyards and coutryside in the back yard. It was a perfect set up. ... Wonderful and relaxing

We rented a GPS with our car and had no problems finding the location. ... We loved staying here. We were so close to the town square with shopping, restaurants and wine tasting. The apartment was the nicest and cheapest we stayed in the entire 2 weeks we spent touring Italy. The bathroom was accomodating to Americans who like to shower standing up, it's modern and very functional! We paid extra (5 eu/day) for clean towels, it's worth it. I can't stand a damp or used towel. ... One negative thing about the region not so much about the hotel is the mosquitos. We were there at the end of September and mosquitos were in full force. I didn't see screens on any window anywhere in the region including Antico Pastificio. Because of the warm weather and no adjustable airconditioning in the unit we were left opening the windows. Needless to say we had to kill 5-6 mosquitos before going to sleep to avoid being bit. ... A charming, well apointed apartment. I highly recommend it for the region. The pool was refreshing, you are surrounded by lush farms and hills. You can't beat what you get for the price. Also, it's very quiet.

We always knew we would be arriving late - but there was a welcoming sign for us with very clear directions to our accommodation. ... We had a wonderful holiday. The Antico Pastificio Ulisse Mariotti was fantastic. he only thing was that we hadn't realised our apartment did not have air conditioning, but the staff kindly provided fans. ... More like a fond farewell than a 'check out'! ... All positive - a wonderful atmosphere. The games room with table tennis and pool table was a big hit! ... Wonderful.

The directions were easy and clear to understand. Would only add that the accommadion was just over the bridge in the town. We did get the impression that it was out of town from the directions as no distances were given. ... The Iris rooms were everything we wanted. We would add that the kitchen could have tea pot or kettle for boiling water. Also the lounge room was short on chairs. So another comfy chair would be good. For general usage, the downstairs inside are could be made more comfortable for lounging, reading and mixing with other guests especially in case of poor weather. There were also not enough clothes hanging lines. Perhaps a booking sheet for the washing machine and lines would help when waiting. ... We did have a problem with the amount of our deposit and had to pay more when leaving. We are still investigating this with our bank. Monica was very understanding and is interested in this matter being cleared up. ... Buses do not go to Siena directly. Hiring a car before arriving would be very advisable but we did manage to get one from the local mechanic at a very good rate. ... Greve in Chianti was a beautiful place to make as our base. Our accommodation was warm, friendly and ever so slow. The daily ringing of bells kept us in time with the rhythm of the locals. There was such a variety of good quality restaurants nearby serving tasty pork, freshly prepared vagetables and outstanding seafood dishes presented by very friendly staff. It was a joy to wake up and stroll the nearby streets to smell out the freshly baked bread, to sample the local cheese products, to sip the red wine during the festival,in the shade of a piazza cafe. There were endless streets and hills to explore and catch postcard-perfect snaps of the Chianti region. To retire to Antico Pastificio Ulisse Mariotti in the afternoon for a leisurely swim and snooze was just perfect. It felt like home. Our energy levels were recharged. We were ready to take on the rest of Italy!

There was no one in the reception when we arrived, but they left us a note and the keys and directions to our room, so it was fine. ... On our voucher and on the website it was stated that we shoud receive a bottle of wine when we arrive, but we didn't. ... There was no one when we cheked out, but they told us to leave the key in the mail box, so it was fine. ... The place is a few meters from the center of town, very close to the central square, to the supermarket and the bus station (there are buses to Florence from there). There is also a private parking, which we found fery comfort. There are few things to do in Greve in the evening, exept for 2-3 restaurants we couldn't find where to go out.

Finding Roma Street was a little difficult. As we had a large van we found it very hard to fit the car through the arch from the tiny street. Perhaps you could warn people on the website that the entrance is narrow. ... Staff were very friendly and helpful. One of the staff even helped us get our car through their tiny arch. ... I can only speak for our apartment, but we found the place very clean and comfortable. The beds were great, the views wonderful and the location fantastic. We'd definitely recommend the place to friends.
