L'Antica Sosta is situated in the small and charming village called Renai, (3 km from Castelfiorentino). We advise you to use the railway's station of Castelfiorentino, in this way you can reach easily in only 40 minutes the center of Firenze, Pisa e Siena. The railway service is good; there are trains every hours. The visit of the medioeval village close to Siena, like Monteriggioni, Pienza, Montalcino is advised, not only for the artistic value but also for their gastronomic speciality. |

Coming from Pisa:
Take the motorway Firenze-Pisa-Livorno and exit at Empoli Ovest, at the round about follow signs for Siena, turn right and take the 429 road, after the traffic lights carry on for about 10 km. When you arrive in Castelfiorentino follow the signs for Renai and after 50 m turn right and go under the bypass, carry on driving on that road (via del Vallone) keeping to the left without turning, you'll go over a little bridge and after that the road goes up, take the dirt track and carry on straight down this road without turning off for approximately 1km. You will reach Renai, a little hamlet where you will find a restaurant on your right and after thirty metres turn left and after 50 m you'll find the Antica Sosta.
Coming from Florence:
Take the Highway A1 and exit at "Firenze Scandicci", take the motorway Firenze-Pisa-Livorno and exit at Empoli ovest, then follow directions as above.
Coming from Siena:
Take the main road 429 in direction Poggibonsi, carry on towards Certaldo and carry on never leaving the road following the directions for Castelfiorentino. Before reaching Castelfiorentino you'll find a round about, carry on straight (never leaving the 429) and after 800 m you'll reach a cross road where you have to turn left. At the top of the road, keep on your right and continue the same road until you reach the traffic lights, where you'll turn right following the directions for Renai. After 50 m turn right and go under the bypass, carry on driving on that road (via del Vallone) keeping to the left without ever turning, you'll go over a little bridge and after that the road goes up, take the dirt track and carry on straight down this road without ever turning off for approximately 1km. You will reach Renai, a little hamlet where you will find a restaurant on your right and after thirty metres turn left and after 50 m you'll find the Antica Sosta. |
