| | |  " Antica Dimora " is located only four kilometres from San Gimignano, along the provincial road leading to Volterra. Our structure is in the centre of the ancient village of San Donato, just in front of the little romanic church, encircled by a group of medieval buildings. Sorrounded by vineyards and olive groves extending as far as the eye can see "Antica Dimora " is the ideal place for special travellers in search of the special charm of Tuscan countryside and breath of ancient atmosphere. Besides "Antica Dimora" is the ideal point of departure for trips by car or walking tours. A few kilometres away, by motorway, it is in fact possible to visit the most important towns of art in Tuscany, such as Siena ( km 30 ), Firenze ( km 45 ), Pisa ( km 70 ), Volterra ( km 25 ), Monteriggioni ( 20 km ). Moreover, the seaside, with its well known Etruscan Coast locations such as Punta Ala, Marina di Castagneto arducci, Castiglion della Pescaia, Follonica, Cecina, Castiglioncello, is about one or two hours drive. People who are fond of nature can plunge in the absolute quietness of the sorrounding countryside and walk along several trails to discover lakes and amazing landscapes. |
