The wine produced on site is excellent both in taste & value.
Getting to Florence, Siena & Pisa from Anselmo is very easy & quick.
They are happy to book tickets for the Uffizi gallery (very helpful).

A beautiful place in a great location. The accomodation is good, it is in the middle of fantastic scenery & it is really easy to get to all the main places of interest in Tuscany. The owner is v friendly, the food is wonderful & the wine is even better.

Absolutely magical location. We had the 'bridal suite' which is a room in a detached building above a store. Fabulous views across the vineyards and valley to Montespertoli. Annette & Fabrizio couldn't have been more accomadating.

Tuscany as you have always dreamed it would be. Superb wine, olive oil, Tuscan cooking in a magical location. Friendly owners who make you feel very welcome. Quiet location but within easy travelling of Firenze, Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa, Lucca, etc. or somewhere just to sit and chill.

Paradise on earth: beautiful scenery, great location, wonderful climate, excellent food and wine. Lots of interesting things to do for the whole family. Children especially enjoyed pool, cats and horses :-)We can certainly recommend Podere dell'Anslemo for everyone. This was our best vacation ever!

Chirstmas in Tuscany was a great trip for our family of seven. Even the Grandparents enjoy the nine days spent in one location. I would stay at Podere dell Anselmo again on our next trip.

Great Podere!!!

A great place to stay for as long as you can!
Close to Firenze, Siena and the other attractions of Tuscana, but you might prefer not to leave the Podere and spend the day by the pool, taste their fine wines and enjoy the Toscu sun.
Fabrizio and his team are very friendly - we will certainly return next year!!!

We loved our stay at Podere dell'Anselmo! Fabrizio was a terrific host. Although we did not have the same room we originally thought we were to have the room we ended up with worked out great for us and we were all very pleased. (If only we had better weather!!! - oh well, guess one can't control everything!) Thanks for a wonderful Tuscan experience! Can't wait to return!

I think there should be more emphasis on the cooking classes! Wow, was that an amazing experience! One of the most special experiences of all of our trip to Ialy. The only other recommendation I could proivde for enhancing the experience would be to really fine tune some of the directions to and from the Florence airport as the signs in the area are small, a bid aloof, and are a bit difficult to follow for foreigners to Italy.

directions given on the net were fairly acurrate, however, I felt that you should have provided me with a contactable phone or mobile number to call when reaching the location, it can get quite confusing and the map given is not helpful. We were lucky to have arrive early, if we arrive in the afternoon, it might get too dark, & then we might have a more difficult task of finding it.

overall, we enjoyed the stay very much, the staff were very helpful and the property is very clean. Owner was also there when call upon. Above all the location have good view of the hills and we also realise its convenient location especially when travelling to other little nearby towns.

Area is very quite and relaxing yet is close to major tourist attractions. Podere dell'Anselmo is on a hill so you get super views particularly from the apartments and pool area. The road to Podere dell'Anselmo is not paved.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Excellent food & wine - be sure to attend the Sunday Lunch. Easy access to fast road to Florence, Pisa. Approx. 10 minute drive to major supermarkets. Our kids loved the pizza at Il Battibecco Montespertoli (Via Taddeini 146) and this is definitely worth a visit and is just a 15 min drive.

It was a well located and a great place from which to experience Tuscany. We had great access to classic Chianti, Florence and Pisa. A quaint and relaxing venue which was a nice contrast to the accommodation (and prices) of Rome.

As we came at a busy time (the grape harvest) we understood that the staff was really preoccupied, and in spite of that most were friendly & helpful.

The road leading up to the farm is rather steep & deeply rutted - a little regular maintenance on it would make it less likely to damage one's vehicle!

The Podere is a vibrant working farm in the heart of Tuscany that provides a restful and serene setting for a vacation, as well as being a convenient starting point for day trips to all major sightseeing destinations.We would certainly recommend it to friends and return whenever we are in Italy (annually).

Slight misunderstanding about which rooms we rented but sorted out. We got a little cheaper but still comfortable apartment and second room was as booked.

Lovely atmosphere, excellent wine and beautiful surroundings. Close to Firenze (Florence - about 20 minutes drive to the centre). The very last few hundred meters of road could do with some improvements.

Also, the bathrooms, while clean and generally modern, lacked soap dishes at the sinks and in the showers. a few more shelves in the bathrooms would have been helpful.

Dinners are wonderful and cost-effective. Commradarie with staff and other guests makes the experience much more fun and REAL. The pool area is lovely and tours of the vineyard are an added treat. Convenient to major cities such as Pisa, Lucca, Florence and Sienna. Fabretzio is a wonderful host.

Very nice, quiet, simple and friendly place, it is child friendly (horse riding is a plus with the children). We enjoy a lot coming back from visits and rest around the swimming pool or drink a glass of wine on the terrace at the door of the appartment. It is perfectly located to visit around.

Padre dell’ Anselmo is a beautiful collection of old farm buildings that have recently been renovated and turned into very comfortable apartments. It is in a very good location to use as a base to explore Tuscany, but you will need a car. Our stay was in late November, so the weather was cool, but not really cold. We stayed in the unit named Dante, a studio apartment with a fireplace. We loved the fireplace and used it every night. The owner, Fabrizio, was extremely helpful without being intrusive. I would highly recommend Padre dell’ Anselmo to anyone; couples, families, or small groups. If we ever return to Tuscany, I hope to stay there again.

Wonderful place to stay - hope to go again and stay for a week. We had dinner on site the first night - prepared by other guests who were taking the cooking class. Yum!!!!
Brought home wine & olive oil produced on site.
Overall a wonderful stay.
*** We had hoped to rent bikes, as listed on the website - there were no bikes available. Also a bit misleading - internet. You can possibly use the computer in their office, but internet is not actually provided.

Very nice facility. Our only problems included having both shower doors broken and it required 2 requests before he came to fix it. As well, the website said that the room would come with wine and olive oil, which we didn't receive until we asked for it.
We arranged for a night of wine tasting and tuscan cooking which was delicious and it was fantastic to sit with the winemaker for dinner. Highly recommended to get the tuscan experience.

The room was large, quiet, clean and comfortable. Great host, view and relaxing. The only problems were having to haul our trash into town and a washing machine that took an hour and a half to complete a wash cycle. However, we sat around and read until the cloths were clean. The Italian drivers are insane which explains why they turn into race car drivers. Great wine and enjoyed the horse back riding. Everyone very friendly.

Although we loved the property, the picture of the room was much nicer on the website than we found. The picture made it seem much warmer and quaint than in reality.

The reason we chose this property was because of the activities. When we arrived, the chef was on vacation and so cooking classes were unavailable and the horseback riding was already booked up by the time we arrived. We were disappointed with this as we may have chosen another place if we had known. Perhaps these activities can be scheduled ahead of arrival so others do not have the same problem.

I would recommend car hire as the track leading to the accomodation isn't really suitable for walking. A beautiful place nonetheless and would return again, very friendly staff and a relaxing environment.
