 We recommend our offer "Cena per sei" (dinner for six) in the weekends, organized in a typical local "Ristorante" and we also have several agreements with the best local restaurants, so please ask us about it. Upon request we can arrange short courses of Wine Tasting which are run by a Sommelier from the Italian Sommelier Official Association. We can arrange guided tours to the main monumental spots of the Val di Chiana Valley, lead by professors of Art History. |
Casa di Anelia is located on the main square in the centre of Monte San Savino, where you can find general services or shops you might need ranging from local stores, pharmacy, restuarants, bank and post office. There is a public swimming-pool in town as well.
In the surrounding Chianti Area at 6 km away, you can visit Castello di Gargonza, a medieval village from the year 1100, where famous historical characters stayed from Dante Alighieri to Roberto Benigni. It is the setting of two of Benigni's most famous feature films, La Vita è Bella and Pinocchio.
Only 18 km away, in the little village of Rapolano, along the highway "Superstrada" Siena-Perugia, you can find the natural thermal swimming pool of San Giovanni. Within 40km you can also visit the cities like Cortona; Montepulciano which is famous for its wines; Pienza, a master piece of Renaissance architecture and home to fabulous pecorino cheese; Siena; Arezzo; San Sepolcro; Lake Trasimeno and the whole Val D'Orcia valley with its vineyards and beautiful sites. Florence is 70 km away by highway from Monte San Savino 1 hour by train from Arezzo's Central station, which is only 18 km away from the apartments. |
