美极了。。

The couple that runs the Villa checked us in. They were extremely helpful with ideas about where to eat, how to get to town, etc. ... Our room had a beautiful view of the Tuscan hillsides. The room itself was very well decorated, very clean and comfortable.
The breakfast that was brought to our room was wonderful. The property that the villa is on is fairly close to Florence, although you feel that you are in the middle of the country. ... This was our favorite place to stay on our vacation. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I felt like I was staying with friends. ... Absolutely wonderful.

The women that worked in the evening was the best person we dealt with for our entire stay (total of 5 hotels). She was friendly, helpful and gracious. Please tell her this~ ... Villa Poggio was beautiful! The room was great and the gardens surrounding the area were awesome. ... The villa is about a ten minute walk to town and a 30-45 minute bus ride from downtown Florence ... The best place we stayed in Italy. Breath taking views and very nice lodging. Peaceful setting.

place was very quiet which we liked and they requested that all guests remain quiet after 11pm which was nice. excellent location for visiting florence. they recommended a nice place to eat and made a reservation for us very helpful people ... very nice pool we had our own beach towels because we had rented a house for two weeks,i believe there is an extra charge for beach towels which i thought was kind of a little too much in that this is a nice place and they should be able to come across with two beach towels for the guests. other than that a great place to stay ... small hotel style place where i believe each apartment has a kitchen and living room, great location, quiet, very nice pool and a nice little continental breakfast in the morning.

That it was only a €12 to €17 cab ride into Florence depending on where you are going. ... Villa Poggio ai Merli is a beautiful classic Tuscan country house located among olive groves in the hills just 5 km from Florence.

Very nice, we can absolutly recommend it. ... Beautiful property and rooms. Quiet. View over the hills and partly Firenze. Historical rooms. Very nice furniture in the appartments. Clean. Service-minded. Nice pool area. Close to 'must-see' cities and places. Overall, we are very satisfied with the staying.

Building has been painted and looked even better then the airial photo we saw on the web. ... Villa Poggio ai Merli was an oasis outside of Florence. It is located close to Florence (a car is a must) but with all the benefits of the country lifestyle. The property is magnificant and the owners were only to ready to ensure our stay was enjoyable and pleasant. Have already recomended the property to a number of people.

Visually pleasing. Very well organised and helpful front office and management. ... Well presented property. The web site gives some idea of the rooms and the grounds, but it was good to see attention to the quality of the finish.
Availability of ADSL internet access was appreciated. ... The quoted distances to facilities tend to be underestimated, but one adjusts after the first visit. The distance to supermarket is more like 3 km. ... Elegant, quiet, private, very well presented. We plan to stay there again.

In addition to the Villa and the surroundings being so beautiful, the staff was friendly and helpful. We did not feel like customers but like guests in someone's home. ... The staff have a good command of English, and are knowledgable of the surrounding Tuscan countryside. You are made to feel at home. ... It was everything we were expecting and more. Anything you could possibly need was close by. All of Tuscany is within driving distance for a day trip. Also, you could stock up the kitchen with wonderful fresh food and the Villa was the perfect place just to relax.

Only issue was that the phone system was still not working properly but the staff accomodated my need for a phone by letting us use the office phone whenever we needed.
We had a great stay. Everyone was most pleasant and cared about us and our needs. ... Excellent location, excellent people and they are working very hard to get the whole property finished which will be a place we would come back to in the future.
... The pool was on the website but it was very nice. You should publicize this more. Swimming in a very large pool among the olive trees was a real treat. ... I would describe and recommend it to a friend as a very nice villa to stay in when visiting in Tuscany. It is close to Florence, Siena and the Chianti Region, it is spacious but very private and the rooms are wonderful.

A wonderful place, location, and staff. I am definitely coming back again someday. One of the best stays at a hotel type business I've ever had. ... If you take the bus to get there (which is really probably the cheapest and easiest), it'll take about a 15 min. walk from the stop to Villa Poggio but it's a nice walk. Also, the front desk has bus tickets for sale. ... WONDERFUL. We loved it. Perfect location for someone wanting to see Florence but to feel away from it all at the same time. Staff was one of the nicest I've ever come across. Would highly recommend that others stay here :).

All of the staff couldn't have been more accomodating- very helpful with suggestions on where to go, directions, restaurants in the area, etc. ... The website was very accurate, although it is very difficult to capture how beautiful the entire grounds and surrounding hillsides really are which was an added bonus upon our arrival. ... Beautiful grounds and surrounding areas, clean, spacious accomodations, great value for the money. We will highly recommend to all of our friends.

We found out that there was an easier way to arrive through Scandicci, Firenze Signa exit off A1. The directions given by your website are through Galluzzo, Firenze Certosa exit and they are much more difficult, with a long stretch of one lane road and no signs. It was scary!
The receptionist recommended we go in and out through Scandicci with better access and she was correct. It was easy and fast. Please change the directions on the website to go through Scandicci. ... The nicest touches were the sense of being on a working olive farm and having our breakfast delivered in a basket every morning by Carmen. We felt pampered!
We enjoyed the owners and their family yet felt our privacy and quiet were respected. The villa felt as if it was in the middle of Tuscany yet it was close enough to Florence to take a taxi. ... No problem ... It does not have easy access by bus into Florence since there are too many connections and many blocks to walk between them. There is little parking available in town for your rental car. Taxis are the most efficient way to get into town.
Guests should enter through Firenze Signa exit off A1 freeway and Scandicci. Great signs are shown alongside the roads to direct them to the villa.
We recommend going to the Co-op supermarkets in Scandicci to get food. But the best one is the Iper-market Co-op in Lastra, huge with low prices and has everything including clothes and hot, already prepared food.
There is no washing facility for clothes so we went into town to do laundry. The owners did some loads for us later but we wish we had access at the villa to do our own. ... Tranquil and beautiful villa, surrounded by trees, flowers and rolling hills. Private parking and very easy access to all the major roads and freeways. We traveled all around Tuscany during the day.

We had been delayed the day of our arrival and didn't get to the villa until 9pm. We were worried about arriving so late, but the owner was very kind to us and spent time showing us our room amenities. ... Although we were there in the off season, the property was still beautiful. We would love to go back someday! ... The owner was so gracious and informative. She told us that they are in the process of building a golfing area and adding a small lake, which should be very nice when they are finished. ... Beautiful property, wonderful owner. Our room was large but cozy and rustic but comfortable. It was one of our favorite places we stayed our whole time in Italy.

WONDERFUL PLACE!!! Thank you so much for prooviding access to sich a peacufule and welcoming establishment!! Our stay would not have been better for the first few days of settling into Italy, the time zone, the environment, etc. Concierge service was excellent. Rooms were exceptionally clean and the service was prompt and friendly - across the board. ... Thank you thank you thank you!! ... Phenomenal!!

due to an 'Al Italia Strike' we arrived late and the first thing that the staff did was to offer us some food which given that this was self catering accommadation I was highly impressed by, ... The place is beautiful and the staff were unbelieveably helpful. If the could do anything to help you they would, without being intrusive. The only drawback I would have is that the two bedrooms are open plan which can be a bit restrictive, but perhaps I should have realised this.
There is a fantastic restaurant up the road which although is not cheap is perhaps one of the best meals I have ever had in my life - shuld get a michelin star ... Magical with wonderful helpful friendly staff.

We used our Navigation System to get to the Villa. There was a lot of construction going on in Scandicci so it was a little confusing. The staff members in Reception were extremely helpful and friendly. They showed us to our room and even made our dinner reservations for us. They even provided us with a flashlight for the walk home. ... Our daughter was sick and we had to tak her to the hospital. The staff member on duty wrote out everything we needed in Italian for us before we left. When we returned they called to see if she was okay and if there was anything else we needed. ... I thought the website said that there was horseback riding nearby. The receptionists said she could arrange something for us but that it was about 40 minutes away.
The website indicated that there would be no breakfast when indeed they provided a typical Italian breakfast of different breads & jams, and your choice of drink (i.e. coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice) ... Just what I imagined Tuscany to be. A quiet retreat surrounded by roses & Olive Grove trees nestled amongst the rolling hills of Italy. A short drive to the city of Florence

The directions need to be more specific. We were on the correct road but, turned around several times, thinking that we were lost, because we were driving many miles before there was another sign. ... The property was fantastic! ... The villa sits on a hill in a small town not far from Florence. The villa and its rooms have an old word charm while having all modern amenities. The pool has a very relaxing quality, surrounded by grass and beyond that an olive grove. The staff is friendly and professional.

It would be helpful to let people know that the road leading to the villa is quite narrow and it was actually longer than listed in your information. ... The Villa is lovely and well maintained and the owner and manager were very gracious to us during our stay. We particularly enjoyed returning in the evening and preparing a meal there with a great bottle of Italian wine and enjoying the susets. A great way to end a busy day. ... Exactly as stated above.
