By car from A1 Highway:
We strongly suggest you to exit at Firenze Certosa because of the huge contructing works at Firenze Scandicci. The best way to reach Villa Poggio ai Merli from the highway A1 exit at Firenze-Certosa and then follow the direction for Firenze Centro. After about 2 km and after a small bridge in the square of Galluzzo at the traffic light turn to the left and then at the stop again left. Carry on direction Volterrana/Cerbaia on the Volterrana street, for about 2 km and once on the top of the hill, turn to the right on via di Giogoli. Carry on for about 2 km, pass through Giogoli Rossi and carry on until you'll find the on the right side the entrance for Villa Poggio ai Merli.
From Pisa Airport:
Take the freeway SGC FI-PI-LI (Firenze-Pisa-Livorno) direction Firenze and carry on until the end of it. Exit at Viadotto Indiano, Scandicci. Keep the right side and follow the direction to Scandicci. At the stop carry on keeping the left and at the traffic light turn left. After 50 mt at the STOP turn right and then at the first street turn left in "via Pestalozzi ". Carry on, at the 1st traffic circle go straight and at the second turn to the left following the sign for HOSPITAL " San Giovanni di Dio ". Cross the bridge and turn to the right at the first street (just before the traffic light) and carry on. At the first stop turn to the left and at the second ( in front of the Hospital ) turn to the right and carry on. At the first traffic light go straight and after the little bridge turn to the left and go straight until to reach the entrance of Villa Poggio ai Merli on the left side. |
