Although the wesite said that we should come to Pomai by the S206, this road was almost impossible to find from the airport. However this was not the fault of the website, but just poor Italian road signs!

Pomia was a beautiful, quiet little town. It was within easy driving distance of all nice towns and cities in Tuscay, including Pisa, Florence and Voltera. It was also within easy driving distance of the coast and local beaches. The Il Gelso appartments themselves were nicely decorated, very clean and well maintained, and the staff were very polite and friendly. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family.

We arrived at ~11 p.m. It was very nice that owners welcome us after telephone call.

Beautiful area around the house. The is no picture that shows the village. Very nice place, that shows Italian countryside life.

Beautiful boulding with 6 apartments and surrounding garden. Clean and silent (if only your neighbours don't are polite and don't grill to long:) ). Ms. Julia (the owner) is very nice, helpfull and answers to any requests. The distance to the sea is enough short if only you have car (without car you'd have problems). The place is charming and ideal for romantic holidays. We spend there great honeymoon.

Our taxi cab driver didn't know where the place was and called the phone number to talk to Julia about directions. We arrived at the suggested destination (Cecina) following the instructions on the web site. Would have been better if we had rented a vehicle so that we could have driven our selves to the property.

There was consruction going on at the apartment complex right next to the property but it didn't effect our stay as we were at the farm house located 5 km away.
Julia was very polite and courteous. She drove us to the farmhouse and checked on us a few times to see how we were doing. She drove us into town so we could rent a Vespa on day and she also drove us to the train station the day we checked out.

Recommendation: Visitors should rent a vehicle, as the bus stop (1 km away) only stops there (La Badie) 4 times a day or less.

We were not able to pay with Visa as stated on the website. We had to find an ATM in a neighboring town at night and get cash.

The second bed in the living area is a single bed that sleeps 1 not 2. Julia the hostess was so very nice, but did not speak English. We thought all the charges had been taken care of as stated on the website, but Julia said that we had not been charged and needed to pay cash.

Very nice, but the neighboring houses are a bit run down.
