Well the first activity has to be trying out some of the many hiking routes on offer; the area is so spectacular and beautiful that you can spend hours upon hours roaming the countryside and find that perfect spot for a picnic. You can swim in Lake Trasimeno with average temperature between 24-27oc, there are also nine beaches around it, so plenty of space to sunbathe or you can water ski, sail or windsurf in the summer. You should spend a day in near by Siena with its characteristic narrow streets and Piazza, great for trying out some of the little cafes and shops in the area. Hire a car and drive around the splendid countryside and discover many places along the way such as hill to villages, amazing views and vineyards. Further afield you can also visit Rome and Florence by train, it doesn't take long and you will not have to worry about parking.
