We loved our stay at La Canonica in every way; the staff went out of their way to help us, the rooms were spacious, the grounds beautiful and the on-site restaurant superb. Enjoyed it so much we spent an extra day. Our host, Antonio, helped make La Canonica one of the highlights of our Italian vacation!!

We actually forgot to print off directions. Antonio picked us up from Certaldo station, which we were very grateful for.

We had a wonderful stay at La Canonica. The only disappointment which wasn't clear on Tuscany.net was the fact the property was next to a main road. The peace and quiet of Tuscany was a major reason behind our visit, so this did spoil our experience somewhat.

You state cooking lessons available. We experienced this on a morning of our stay 9am-1pm (but this was flexible). The experience was absolutely superb! Vincenzo (chef), Christine (interpreter) and Antonio were on hand to help with this event. We cooke some stunning food which we then ate. We had enough for 2 x lunch and 1 x dinner. We were charged 150 Euro for this which I thought was good value including the food. Highly, highly recommended.

Typical Tuscan property. Rustic but good quality. Beautiful pool. Loved the fact that we had an aprtment rather than a 'room'. This allows you to cook for yourselves which we enjoy. It also allows you to keep some beer and wine cold in your fridge. On top of that you can have an 'evening in' if you so wish.
The only downside as already stated was the road.

We arrived at approx 3:00pm and were told that the owner would be with us in about an hour. We found that OK, as we had a look around and relaxed.

The accommodation was brilliant. Very clean, everything worked, and the rooms were decorated to a high standard. We loved it.

Food in the restaurant was fabulous, as was the service provided. The rooms were all furnished and decorated to a high standard, with everything possibly required having been required. Central to some stunning villages and countryside.

The directions were very vague and hard to follow. We put the address into our GPS system and it took us to a place not too far from there. We arrived at past 10pm and because we were off course, the owner Antonio kindly drove out to find us and take us to the apartments.

Wonderful accommodations - the apartment was updated and very clean. The grounds, pools and area were all very well maintained! Overall, a wonderful property.
Also a wonderful restaurant with great local food and a very reasonable price for the great quality. We highly recommend the Florentine steak.
We have 2 young kids so the childrens pool was a major plus as was the short horse-riding lesson we had. Very family-friendly property.

Wonderful family-friendly property that is beautifully maintained and updated. I searched online for a long time for a property and this one met all my requirements (great location, childrens pool, onsite restaurant, etc) and for a great price! The owner Antonio went out of his way to make our stay memorable. I would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone especially families with young kids.

Very nice place in nice surroundings and excellent food.
It was 45 min. walk to the village alte Certaldo, wich is a beautiful small medieval city.
A very safe and nice place for familys with children. Our girls enjoyed horceback-riding allmost every day. And they enjoyed the pool every day.

The website stated check in from 12.00hrs.Unfortunately there was no one available until 15.00hrs.

Very good accomadation,however not all apartments have a terrace, which we would have liked.
Well equiped apartment and good surroundings, which we would recommend to others.
