We are in a strategic position in the heart of the Tuscany, so every places are about at the same distance! 35 km far from Florence and 20 km far from Siena. Very close to Il Torrione there are 2 little medieval towns Castellina in Chianti and Monteriggioni. Another unique town is San Gimignano (12 km) that is in the first place in the Europe's chart for the most beautiful places in Europe...and many other small-jewels' towns to discover! The best way to reach our property is by car. We are 50 km from Florence airport, 90 km from Pisa Airport and about 200 km from Fiumicino Airport in Rome. You could rent the car at the airport or reach us by bus or train (until Poggibonsi town and then take a taxi in front of the station) and we could rent a car for you. We work together with a garage that brings your car to the Residence and you could leave it here or in Poggibonsi.
Note for check-in: You have to reach the Reception that is at the Riserva di Fizzano (3 km), where you take the key and directions to your apartment at il Torrione. |

By Car
From North
Highway A1 Firenze-Roma; exit Firenze-Certosa. Motorway Firenze-Siena; exit Poggibonsi (second exit called Poggibonsi, NOT Poggibonsi Nord).
Please do not follow the signs for Castellina in Chianti! From the exit: at the first roundabout take left over the bridge, immediately after the bridge at the second roundabout turn left taking the road between buildings and shops. Go straight on till the stop, you will see a big bridge on your right: don't take it, go straight on and you will see the first sign for Riserva di Fizzano on the right side. Go straight on, pass a little bridge, pass the big parking place on the right, go straight on and up the hill. Now you have to follow the directions for Belvedere, Villa Rosa, Le Piazze and Riserva di Fizzano. The total distance from the exit may be 7-8 km. After the Piccini Cellars (on the left side) the asphalted road ends and you have to go straight on until "Riserva di Fizzano"'s sign that shows you where you have to turn right!
From South
Highway A1 Roma-Firenze-Bologna; exit called "Valdichiana" and follow the directions for Siena. From Siena take the Highway to Florence the exit is the first one called Poggibonsi. Please do not follow the signs for Castellina in Chianti! After the exit go up the ramp, turn left, follow the road under a bridge and keep left. At the roundabout turn right over the bridge and at the second roundabout turn left taking the road between buildings and shops.
Go straight on till the stop (you will see a big bridge on your right: don't take it), go straight on (first sign for Riserva di Fizzano on the right side).
Go straight on, pass a little bridge, pass the big parking place on the right, go straight on and start a little bit going up. From Pisa Airport
Take the Motorway called FI-PI-LI to Florence. Exit called Empoli Ovest and take directions to Siena-Poggibonsi.You should go always straight on crossing the town of Ponte a Elsa, Castelfiorentino, Certaldo until you reach the town of Poggibonsi. Enter in the town (don't follow for San Gimignano). When you see on your left a big bridge with a sign for Castellina in Chianti, Raccordo Siena Firenze) cross the bridge. Then continue straight on, pass a roundabout and when your way reach the main one keep your left and turn left at the 2nd road after the petrol station now following for Siena, Colle Val d'Elsa don't follow anymore directions for Castellina in Chianti because you extend your way of 20 km! Now go straight on the unique sense road you took. When you reach the stop continue passing the roundabout and following direction for Siena and Colle Val d'Elsa (not Castellina in Chianti!) entering a street between buildings and shops. Go straight on till the stop (you will see a big bridge on your right: don't take it), go straight on (first sign for Riserva di Fizzano on the right side). Go straight on, pass a little bridge, pass the big parking place on the right, go straight on and start a little bit going up.
Now you have to follow the directions for Belvedere, Villa Rosa, Le Piazze and Riserva di Fizzano. The total distance from the exit may be about 7-8 km.
